Marathon magic comes when you decide to do something so difficult, requiring so much work and dedication. Crossing the finishing line is icing on the cake.
(This is my contribution to this week's Take it and Run Thursday, in which we were challenged to talk about the marathon in 26 words or less. I used 26... my picture is the .2. Have you ever seen someone so happy to be sitting on a bench eating a sandwich?)

I love it - those are really inspiring words!
Very nice. Love the photo. That's a lot of smiling for someone who just ran 26 miles.

Crossing the finish line IS the icing on the cake!
Good luck on Sunday!
I like the fact that your lines draw attention to all the hard work that goes into being able to start the race at all-- great 26 words and sweet picture.
Since my first marathon, finishing has become all about getting Fig Newtons and then trying to choke them down (they are awfully dry). Not sure why but tradition holds.
LOL. I love that shot. Defintely the icing on the cake.
Good luck this weekend.
That was pretty cool :) And, I have been THAT excited to sit on a bench...but there was no sandwich...it was a Guinness!
Those were really excellent words. Great work and good luck on all your endeavors.
Happy Running :)
You hit the nail on the head with that one! I couldn't have said it any better.
HAH!! I was wondering where the .2 was going to come in. Super cute!
Aww that picture is too cute. I look like crap after marathons.
What a great sentiment (and how clever that you could make it exactly 26 words!) and such a cute picture, too. You are going to do awesome on your race, because you have prepared so well. Plus, after all those weird dreams, you deserve a great finish!!
Haven't been blogging but thinking about you today. Hope it was awesome. Can't wait to hear.
Hugs!
