It was actually discouraging because I was hoping somehow the experience of running marathons would make childbirth easier in comparison, but it sounds like it only works the other way around.tfhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10735303292996192352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20790706.post-18341114993248567672008-10-07T01:19:00.000-05:002008-10-07T01:19:00.000-05:00Oh thank you for this! I tried to remember that at mile 19 when I was in some serious pain. I knew that my little four-year-old "finisher's medal" would be waiting for me at the finish line with a big hug!

And after my first almost-10-pound baby, I have to say recovering from a marathon was easier.

great post!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03902589811626771148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20790706.post-8137875105047775662008-10-07T00:16:00.000-05:002008-10-07T00:16:00.000-05:00Sorry, the Hero worship in total is far worse with...Sorry, the Hero worship in total is far worse with marathon side. My wife and I am still reaping benefits 14 years on our first, and if someone else remembers my DM Marathon 13 years I will be utterly surprised. Then again my investment of pain was much less momentous.Kenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11401322696942839172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20790706.post-80107023690472987312008-10-06T18:46:00.000-05:002008-10-06T18:46:00.000-05:00That's awesome! Did they make you push first for awhile and then decide "Ehhhhh this isn't going to work, we'll do a C-section?" I think that's one of the worst things you could make a woman do. Getting the worst of both worlds.

Having the "pleasure" of experiencing both drugged and non drugged births, I will have to find out how it fares against the marathon. I have a feeling I will tend to agree with your conclusions LOLMarcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14148093449696230770noreply@blogger.com
